Born and raised in the hills of southwest Missouri. 

Lives in the heart of Baltimore, Maryland.

Dave White is a playwright, director, scholar, and Associate Professor at Towson University. He is a founding member of Generous Company and was Artistic Director of WordBRIDGE Playwrights Laboratory from 2007-2012. His research focuses on connections between theatre and mathematics; translating and directing new Russian drama; and new plays and new play development.  Dave’s research has taken him on several fellowships to Slovakia, Poland, and Russia, including a Likhachev Cultural Fellowship in St. Petersburg.  Dave has presented workshops and research at national and international conferences and festivals. Dave’s plays have been presented in theaters in Colorado, Maryland, Missouri, New York, South Carolina, Texas, West Virginia; ArtFaq in Moscow, Russia; and the Ilkhom Theatre in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Education: B.A., New College in Sarasota, Florida; M.A., University of Missouri-Kansas City; Ph.D., University of Missouri-Columbia.
